Note: Special thanks to Livankha for the incredible infographic.  Additionally, thanks to numerous members of the Free Company for porting around to verify information!

Travel in Eorzea can get expensive fast!  Sure you have your Teleport ability which allows you to quickly visit any Aetheryte Crystal you have previously visited.  However, criss-crossing the continent this way can quickly knock out a thousand gil or more.  You can easily find yourself money starved.

But did you know that there is an inexpensive, albeit slower, option?  The chocobo and ferry network of Eorzea allows you to move between locations at very reduced costs.  Generally the fees for this network are under 50 gil, with ferries typically running about 100 gil.  Travelling this way does require you to have tagged the Chocobo Porters in the areas, so you do have to run out there the first time.

The map in this blog also details the levemete’s and the levequest levels available as you use the Chocobo network. as well as locations for the Grand Company Leves.  Each GC Leveset opens based on your Teir with your GC.  Any labeled T2 requires the full advanced second rank (4 promotions) with your GC.  Therefore if you are not yet promoted, you will not be able to view the GC leves in that area.

Finally, we do not include all connections between zones (ie, C.Shroud and N.Shroud or S.Shroud), because we decided it would make the image too crowded.  However, we did include a few zone connections when we felt it would help clarify things slightly (ie, Upper & Outter La Noscea).

Additionally, you can find the various Aetheryte crystals with their accompanying encampment.

Just perfect. This should really be an official map.

  2. Corvak says:

One note: The Level 15 leves in Gridania are located in E. Shroud at Hawthorne Hut.

  3. Mjollnir says:

Missed off Isles of Umbra from Aleport.

Don’t quite get the boat route from Ul’dah to Limsa? There isn’t one…

Also, airships between the main cities haven’t been included.

And the “walking route” code on the legend isn’t used on the map?

And “chocobo route between cities”? Isn’t that superfluous to just “chocobo route”?

    • Mjollnir says:

Ah I see the walking route now^

    • AelaAela says:

      (1) Yeah we didn’t list those since they aren’t a seperate zone. We didn’t list the boats that travel through the same zone.
      (2) Yeah that should have been removed when she made the boat from LL & Vesper. I’ll note that
      (3) Yeah we didn’t include them intentionally (the map gets too busy)
      (4) yes, it is.. we only included it in locations where it helped clarify how a zone connects when no other connection occurs. (ex: NT&MD and ULN&OLN) We noted this in the info on the page
      (5) I specifically asked her to include that since many folks don’t realize there is a path between the two cities via Chocobo.

I’ll get the boat to UlDah removed before uploading the modified version. The rest of the stuff was intentional.

      • Mjollnir says:

Fair enough. Chocobo routes through the same zone are listed, so having the boats too felt natural.

        Glad they’re just stylistic differences!

  4. Ryu says:

I love this map but I found one error so far. You can only get to Upper La Noscea from Western La Noscea. There’s no way to get there from Limsa directly.

  5. Chris says:

Great map, thank you for this!

The only thing I can think to add would be the dungeon locations, unless that would make it too cluttered?

  6. SunWaltz says:

    I Love This !! SRSLY , This is a great map !

  7. Vin says:

Since there is no ferry from LL to Vesper Bay, is there any way to get from Limsa Lominsa to Ul’dah? Or are Arcanists & Marauders cut off from the rest of the world until they get the airship via the level 15 story quest?! ( I suspect a hidden route somewhere.)

    • Ryahl says:

There is a ferry from LL to Vesper. It is simply not accessible until level 15 (and the accompanying quest) is completed. Once its done you can take the Ferry from the docks near the arcanist guild in LL and land in Vesper Bay (200 gil if I recall).

Here is a link to a very cool, ZOOM-able map with levels, dungeons, & many details. by “nakomaru”. http://home.comcast.net/~nakomaru/ffmaps/

  9. Vin says:

Disregard my first comment. Found the ferry to W. Thanalan near the Arcanists guild. Thanks for the flow chart map. Works well. Keep it simple & readable.

  10. Anonymous says:

The leves in Quarrymill seem to be 25 instead of 20.

  11. Jess Skyfire says:

    /me scratches head.

Apparently Wolves’ Den is supposed to be in patch 2.1 soo… anyone know why you can already get there?

  12. AelaAela says:

The zone is in, but PVP isn’t active until 2.1
